Free Northfield Tennis for all!

Tennis Racket and Balls
(May 2025) For all you local tennis lovers...
A big thanks to the Friends of Northfield Tennis for making this happen every year and to Thomas Aquinas College for allowing residents use of the clay tennis courts on Pine St. (Please note these courts are for TENNIS USE ONLY)!
"The tennis courts are all set for the season. Please remind everyone to wear sneakers (smooth sole if possible) and after playing please sweep the courts and lines with the court brooms. Also avoid playing if the courts are wet or soft after rain. Hope everyone enjoys hitting the tennis ball!??"

Fundraising info to help with the yearly opening of the tennis courts on Pine St (April 2025):

Northfield Tennis Summer 2025

“Friends of Northfield Tennis”, a group of donors from the Town of Northfield and Rustic Ridge, celebrates its 11th year in support of tennis in Northfield.
The two red clay courts at the corner of Highland Avenue and Pine Street are owned by Thomas Aquinas College and we are grateful that they have given us access to the courts again for 2025.

As in the past, we ask your help for our fundraising efforts to maintain and resurface the courts. Our previous contractor retired but we were fortunate to keep the pricing the same at $5,500 with a new vendor, New England Tennis Courts, from Moultonborough, NH. Early donations have covered a quarter of the amount, but we need to raise the balance by APRIL. If your family and friends play tennis or if you enjoy seeing others on the courts, please help us keep this tradition alive. Any amount is appreciated! All money raised by “Friends of Northfield Tennis” is used solely for the tennis courts.

After discussion with Thomas Aquinas College, we have decided to pay New England Tennis Courts directly in order to streamline bookkeeping. We will then submit to the college a final report that includes the list of donors and amount raised. You can donate by check or Venmo.

Please make checks out to “Lucy Livingston” and write “Thomas Aquinas Tennis” in the memo line and mail to: Lucy Livingston, 89 Myrtle View Street, Bluffton, SC 29910.

Or Venmo @Lucy-Hann
